The CCBA’s big summer event, the Windy City Regional,  conludes a succcessful tournament today in Niles. The venue for this four-day event which included weekend games for the first time in years has been the White Eagle Convention & Events Center at 6839 N. Milwaukee.   

The schedule has  included stratified Open Pairs and Gold Rush Pairs  with the climactic Swiss Team event at at 10 a.m. with a playthrough. Jim Diebel, local club owner and bridge teacher, on Saturday provided a lesson between sessions Today offers stratified Open and Gold   Swiss teams with a short midday break. 

If you still need a partner for today's Swiss Teams, contact Partnership Chair Jan Churchwell, at jan8242@gmail. com beforehand or staffers at the partnership desk. 

The popular Daily Bulletin, long a fixture at CCBA Regionals and others in past years, is still available at supplies desk.   

Nearby diniing options can be found in the restaurant guide. The White Eagle also has an in-house deli, opening at 11 a.m. daily.There is a catering option for the Sunday playthrough; we recommend you order in advance online or by calling 847-647-0660. You can consume food in the playing room, but please dispose of any food and beverage containers and help keep the venue clean.

The CCBA now has a Facebook group where Chicago area players, club owners, and teachers can make bridge-related announcements, share information, and interact with each other.

If you are a Facebook user, you may have already received an invite. Simply accept the invite to become part of the group. If you haven't received an invite, go to Groups in Facebook, search for CCBA, and request to join the group. You'll be asked a few simple questions about your connection to the CCBA and an administrator will approve your request.

Once a member, you'll be able to invite other players to join as well. This is a private group, which will help us avoid spam and trolls.
