The CCBA now has a Facebook group where Chicago area players, club owners, and teachers can make bridge-related announcements, share information, and interact with each other.

If you are a Facebook user, you may have already received an invite. Simply accept the invite to become part of the group. If you haven't received an invite, go to Groups in Facebook, search for CCBA, and request to join the group. You'll be asked a few simple questions about your connection to the CCBA and an administrator will approve your request.

Once a member, you'll be able to invite other players to join as well. This is a private group, which will help us avoid spam and trolls. 

We're looking forward to seeing you in Facebook. Please post any ideas you have about how to best use the group in the Discussions area.

CCBA is welcoming back Snowbirds this month as all players in Unit 123 make big plans to take part in the traditional Windy City Regional Tournament June 27-30, being held at a new site in Niles, the White Eagle Convention & Events Center. As in days of yesteryear, play will occur in chandeliered ballrooms of this exciting new venue located at 6839 N. Milwaukee Avenue.   

The location offers an array of features. There is ample free parking, in-house deli dining, video gaming, and bingo. In the area, there are numerous fast-food and casual restaurants for mid-day meals with ample break time between sessions. Watch this space for a listing of nearby restaurants vetted by your fellow bridge players.  

Consult the flyer for the schedule, featuring three two-session pair games (one session drop-ins welcome), and an all-day Swiss teams on Sunday. 

Don’t forget the CCBA’s Labor Day Sectional Aug. 31-Sept. 2 at the Weber Leisure Center in Skokie and watch this space over the summer for details and flyer for a second CCBA tournament at White Eagle---the Stan Subeck Regional Tournament in November.
